Great Story shared in the Hagerty Monthly News for Agent newsletter this month:
It really happened: Taking a ride on the wild side
In this new feature, we share funny, fascinating and sometimes unbelievable client claims stories (yes, they really happened!). We also highlight extraordinary vehicles we cover.
A sunny, warm spring day. A 1971 Jaguar beckons to be driven after being stored for the winter. All is well, until the engine begins to overheat. After getting flat-bedded to a service station, the mechanic finds a large snake coiled inside the engine compartment! Luckily, the damage was minimal, and Hagerty paid the $528.85 repair bill.
Lesson learned: remind clients, even when a classic is stored for short periods of time, to give it a thorough inspection and perform basic maintenance before hitting the road.
